PATANJALI ALOE VERA GEL: REVIEW

Hello Everyone!

Today I am here with the one of the most amazing product that you can find in the market.

It is the Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel!

Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera has always been a very important part of the Indian skin care routine. I recall my mom extracting the aloe vera pulp from the plant directly to apply on her face or to eat it. It has proved to be very beneficial in all the ways! Since, I am not able to get hold of the natural plant, I decided to try the Patanjali one. And I must admit that I am not disappointed at all!

Price:
Rs. 80/- INR for 150 ml

Packaging & Texture:
It comes in an big tube with a nozzle on one side to take out the gel. I find the packaging quite attractive with green gel on one side and a bright orange cap on the other side.

The product has a gel like consistency and once you apply it, it feels like water and not like any cream. As soon as you apply it on your skin, it feels a little greasy initially. Takes a little time to get absorbed completely and the skin feels quite smooth.

Ways to use Aloe Vera Gel:
  • It can be directly applied over your face after cleaning it. It helps to minimize pigmentation, pimples, acne and scars.
  • It should be used along with Vitamin E capsules at night for the dry skin to provide the needed moisture.
  • Can be added to several face packs.
  • Can be added to multiple hair masks as it makes the hair soft and shiny.
  • It can be applied under your eyes to remove dark circles and fine lines.
  • If any part of the body feels itchy, the gel can be directly applied over it.

Conclusion:
I find this product to be very useful in all the ways. I have been using this on daily basis and also applying it over my hair. Being 90% pure aloe vera, this has lived to what it claims. You should definitely try this if you are a fan of all natural products,

SKIN & HAIR ROUTINE TO FOLLOW THIS HOLI

                                      Happy Holi Everyone!!!

Happy Holi

I can't believe that two and a half months have gone and the festival of Holi is already here!!
Although I love colours, I have never been a big fan of Holi as the painted faces always scare me :P

Not only these painted faces scare others, they are super tough to get rid of and damages the skin badly. So, I have assembled a few do's and dont's to help you enjoy the festival and also maintain your skin & hair just the way it was !!

Do's

 Before/During Holi:

  • Try to use only herbal/natural colors to play Holi.
  • Keep yourself hydrated throughout so that the colors do not stick and get absorbed on your body completely
  • Apply a lot of oil (mustard/coconut/Johnson's baby oil) at least 1 hour before you start to play. This will help you remove the colours quickly and easily.
  • Since you would be playing with colours outside, apply a generous amount of sunscreen lotion to help you protect from tanning.
  • Try to wear clothes with full length and full sleeves so that most of your body parts stays covered and absorbs less colour.
  • Oil your hair at least 1 hour before so that the colours do not stick to it. I know looking all oily might not look like a good idea but you can try using non sticky oils, helping you look gorgeous as well !!
  • Use a colourful head bandana to cover your hair from colours and make you look good.

  • Makeup for the day:
            - Apply a dark shade of nail polish (at least 2 coats) on your nails
            - Use a waterproof mascara to make your eyes look wide and some kajal on your water line.
            - Either go with a colourful lip balm or a nude lipstick for your lips so that the colors does not stick to it

After Holi:

  • The most important thing is to take bath while you are wet as it helps to remove the colours quickly.
  • Use lukewarm water with few drops of baby oil for bath.
  • Put 1 drop of rose water in your eyes to get rid of any colors or irritation.
  • Apply some malai on your lips to remove the colour stains and to keep it hydrated.
  • Use gentle body wash for the first time. Then apply some home made packs to remove the tough ones:
For dry skin: mix gram flour (Besan) with milk/yoghurt and apply wherever color is still there. Let it stay for a while and gently massage and clean it.
For oily skin: Use multani mitti pack.

  • If your skin feels irritated, apply aloe vera gel on the affected area and let it get absorbed.

Dont's

  • Do not go for any skin treatment (bleach, threading, facial, waxing) or hair treatment at least 1 week before and after Holi. These treatments makes your skin and hair sensitive and prone to irritation or other problems.
  • Do not apply any foundation/BB/CC cream as it might react with the colours.
  • Scrubs, kerosene, tooth paste should not be used to remove the colours. Rather give your skin some time and let the colours come out naturally.

I have tried to list out all the points that would help you keep yourself safe during the festival of Holi. Although, it takes a lot of time to remove the colours but the enjoyment that we had makes up for it. I hope you are able to get some good suggestions from here and you enjoy the festival ! Do let me know if I have missed something or you have some more info to share.

Wishing you all a very happy & Safe Holi!!

LOREAL LE CRAYON CORRECTEUR TRUE MATCH SUPER BLENDABLE CREAMY CONCEALER: REVIEW

I have always been a die heart fan of Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch concealer (currently using its 3rd tube) !!. But recently I have started trying out other concealers just to check what else is available in the market.

Browsing through the huge list of concealers, I came across Loreal's recent launch and thought of giving it a try.

Price:
Rs. 799/- INR for 2gm

Shades Available:
  20 Vanilla
  30 Beige
  40 Natural

Packaging:
Its quite easy to use and comes in a retractable tube packaging. It has a transparent cover with shade details on the top and it closes with a click, which makes it quite attractive! These actually look very much like lip crayons and is quite sturdy.

Texture:
I found the concealer texture quite creamy and it is easily blend able. The tube makes the application very easy. It can be directly applied under the eyes and wherever required. These blends quickly and gives a powdery finish with medium coverage, without creasing. The concealer has a yellowish and peachy undertone.
It would set perfectly for ladies with oily and normal skin. Ladies with dry skin requires a little preparation and moisturising before applying the concealer.

Staying Power:
It takes very little time to apply and stays on me for a good 5-6 hours without creasing.

Conclusion:
After sticking to one concealer for a long time, I found this concealer as quite a refreshing change for me. This provides medium coverage taking care of my dark circles, uneven skintone and spots. With so many new launches, Loreal has proved everything what it claims for the concealer.
