Hi Everyone!
It has been almost a month since I came back from Bali and finally today is the day when I sit down to tell you all about it! As all of us, I too had a lott of pictures and it was so difficult to share just a few.
So let's get started!!
We had planned for a short 4 day trip and booked a beautiful 2 BHK villa around Seminyak area. The villa had a small swimming pool, 2 huge bed rooms along with open kitchen, dining & entertainment areas. And the best part was its location! It was close to so many amazing places which helped us to explore a lot of places.
Now let me take you through DAY 1:
While booking our tickets, we completely forgot that we have our Teej festival on the day we were flying to Bali.... so 2 of us(my friend and me) travelled without any food or water. What an amazing start Right!! Luckily we reached there late at night and directly went to sleep. And the next morning we were ready to step out of the house by 7 am! Yup coz we were soooo hungry and we needed COFFEE!!! So can you guess how I broke my fast??
A HUGE GLASS OF COLD COFFEE!! Also since it was super cold in Melbourne, the perfect temperature in Bali helped me enjoy it even more π
After having an awesome breakfast, we came back to our villa, got ready to explore the city. Travelling around is quite cheap there and you can simply hire a cab or rent a 2 wheeler/ 4 wheeler to drive yourself. We decided to hire a cab and started for our first destination.. The Ubud Monkey Forest πππ
The Sacred Monkey Forest is a natural reserve and a temple complex in Ubud. It is known to conserve a lot of rare plants and a lot of monkeys. The forest is so green, beautifully maintained and you can find monkeys everywhere! You can also feed them bananas, they climb on your lap, sit and eat the banana. I did not have the courage to do that but saw many people attempting :)
After running around monkeys, our next stop was Goa Gajah. It is also a part of the UNESCO World Heritage. At the façade of the cave is a relief of various menacing creatures and demons carved into the rock at the cave entrance. The primary figure was once thought to be an elephant, hence the nickname Elephant Cave.
After enjoying the huge coconut water, we decided to rush for the Tegenungan Waterfall . One of the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen! It is hidden and surrounded with so much greenery. A perfect place to relax, take a dip and enjoy.
Unfortunately, we reached there by 6 pm which was the closing time and we were not allowed to go inside the water. However, the view outside was just as amazing. The water was falling from such a great height, I could hear the all the sound it was making as it hits the ground and also feel water droplets on my face. It felt so relaxing and pure.
At the end of the day we were so tired that we decided to sleep early. We just went out to have some delicious local food and I tried Mie Goreng.. loved it! Came back to the villa, dipped my leg in the pool for a while and said Good Night.

It was so green everywhere. |
That's Hubby bring out his creativity :). BDW do you see the giant alligator? |
I enjoyed watching their activities but could not dare to go near them. They are cute from far :P |

Goa Gajah - it is surrounded by gorgeous praying areas, palms and greenery |
Washing my hands before entering the temple. It is important to wear sarongs when you enter temples to show respect |
The entrance of the cave and the mandatory Pic! The carving is completely done on the cave itself and it looks majestic |
It took us 30 minutes to drink that coconut water! It was sooo huge and we were so full after this. In the meantime, a Groupfie :) |

This was taken from the top. We had to go down using stairs to reach the waterfall. 150 stairs exactly! Isn't it gorgeous! |
Love at first sight! |
I could feel the water droplets on my face and it felt so soothing! Missed the chance to take a dip though |
